Re: HX screens flash a black screen
This is a known issue with HX display units that use an older graphics processor. The screen will update with a completely black frame every once in a while. It's an issue with the graphics driver that we have not tracked down yet.

Re: PAR 200 AUDIO PANEL / TRIG RADIO
No. The Trig comm radio is the same, but the PAR200 does not have a control input. The comm radio is controlled by the PAR200, so any other controls would have to go through the PAR200.

Re: Attitude info on Map Page
The WS, HS, and HX have split pages for showing the attitude and moving map at the same time. The flight plan pages can show limited attitude data in the background with the "PFD" knob function. Only the HXr has a small PFD box (inset) that can be displayed on the full map page.

Re: check list
On the HX, from the checklist page, you would push SELECT LIST, then IMPORT. At that point the display should say "Waiting for USB flash drive...". The flash drive should be detected within 20 seconds, and then the message should go away. If the lists imported correctly, the list names wil...

Re: GPS Approaches/Missed Approach
We've just always favored our own autopilot calculations with the extra sensor data available. With ENAV mode, you get the benefit of AHRS data. I don't think anyone has analyzed the results, though.

Re: Long AHARS boot wait times
The AHRS fast-alignment mode is extra sensitive to any sensor noise. It will switch to a slower alignment mode to be safe. According to Greg, you do not have to wait for the full alignment to move the plane. Only the first 10 seconds are critical.

Re: No GPS data from serial 1
The settings apply only to the unit with the module attached. Does the counter stay at zero? Or does it run for a while, then stop? The counter should run as long as the serial rate is correct. Check the Serial Port 1 Rate. For the WAAS module, which has the antenna connection on top, it should be 4...

Re: Demo record rate adjustability
The EISLog program on our web site (Software Updates - Misc Software & Utilities) will give you all of the EIS data at the full rate when you have Keep All Samples checked. RPM is only sampled twice per second, though. At the full rate of 12 messages per second, you would see 6 messages with one...

Re: Demo record rate adjustability
The DEMO function records all data at its full rate. You can see that when you play the demo on the EFIS. Any filtering is done by the decoder software. Our EISLog program by default only keeps one sample from every second. It will show you all of the EIS data if you turn on the "Keep All Sampl...

Re: Upgrading Software HS
Sorry I missed your reply. Yes, your update procedure would be the same. All of the same models use the same update procedure. The zip extraction program often lets you select the directory to extract to. You may need to change this to the drive only. For example, it might say "E:\Full vxx xxxx...
