Re: VFR GPS Garmin 18x/PC series
Pin 2 is the output on a standard female serial DB9. The only required sentence is RMC, which is usually in the defaults. A few other sentences can provide additional data. You should at least get the Serial Input Counter going on the EFIS with a matched baud rate. If you aren't getting any counter ...

Re: Is 'clock power' required or just desirable?
On the HX and HXr, clock power connects to the main processor to keep the time, date, and possibly other temporary boot information. On a PC, this is normally powered by a 3V coin cell battery, but I don't know how efficient our circuit is. If the clock is not powered, the EFIS will pick up the time...

Re: Sky radar D2 GPS?
The SkyRadar GPS data has to be read out of the ADS-B traffic data in the USB connection. It's not a direct GPS feed, but it includes the important information. It's on the to-do list.

Re: Not Available
All of the adapters I've received with reports of problems have worked when I tested them with displays in our office. The problems at the show were not detailed and may have been pairing mistakes. One adapter was returned by a customer for not working, but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Th...

Re: TAS

Re: Nav data base update,
Try refreshing the page in your browser (usually F5 works). Sometimes browsers don't look for web site updates automatically.

When you use the HXr as the control head with our adapter, you can use both.

Re: ATIS Frequencies
Our US Government source data shows KRDU 123.800 listed as D-ATIS. The D-ATIS frequencies are not currently being included as ATIS frequencies. I'll have to check into that. KTTA AWOS 120.625 is in the current database (2013-08-22). You can search for the nearest weather frequencies using the NEAR W...

Re: HX screens flash a black screen
This is a known issue with HX display units that use an older graphics processor. The screen will update with a completely black frame every once in a while. It's an issue with the graphics driver that we have not tracked down yet.
