Re: Multiple GPS inputs question

To find your answers in a concise way, go the GRT home page, look down the right side column labelled "New Features and Documents" for the post on 6/28/2013. It answers all your posted questions.

Re: ADS-B suppression question

Thanks. I received a very good reply and explanation on VAF forums. Essentially as you say, the Dual receiver hooks via USB to the HXr and the GRT software then does all the suppression once USB ADS-B is turned on in the HXr setup.

ADS-B suppression question

Regarding ADS-B receiver installation, some are hardwired and some transmit via Bluetooth or WiFi. For the portables that function via wirelessly, how does the suppression function work? My specific application is the Trig TT22 transponder and likely the Dual XGPS170. Not sure how I get the suppress...

GRT backup battery mounting limitations?

Are there any limitations on the mounting orientation of the GRT backup battery? I'd like to mount it vertically in the RV-8 aft fuselage behind the baggage compartment.

single OAT probe for 2 boxes?

Wondering if I can use a single OAT probe and splice the lines together for 3 boxes... EIS and 2 AHRS?

Also, manual mentions protecting OAT wire runs from radios, ignition, etc. Mine may run in a bundle with pitot heat and the magnetometer wiring runs. Is this a problem?

Thanks as always

Re: EIS audio out

Thnx. I am mounting the EIS on the panel, but an iPad ( or Android tablet if that comes to fruition) will overlay it when I need charts & pubs ( or a movie).

Will the HXr have a similar ACK function? Or maybe an input for a remote ack switch?

EIS audio out

Trying to understand & use EIS audio out. Configuration: HXr & EIS & PAR100EX. First question, can I use HXr audio output for engine sensor alarms and not bother with EIS audio out? If that's a no, how do I wire EIS audio? Manual only shows audio out line on wiring Fig 5a, does not show ...

Re: N687MS RV Super 8 Panel Team AeroDynamix

Thanks for that information - very helpful. Do you, by chance, have a photo of your radio stack mount behind the panel that you'd be willing to post? I have a similar stack mounted right at the edge of the panel like yours, but it's complicated and not easily removable for maintenance. Thanks again

Re: N8JL GRT HXr

Widget, did u mount the HXr flush or with a tilt? Curious on the view angle. Did u mount the EIS display hidden away somewhere? I am currently wiring a very similar RV-8 panel...HXr, D-10A, 300XL, PAR100EX, Trig trxpr. Kinda stuck on wiring 300XL backup battery ...need about 6-7 high density sockets...

Re: N687MS RV Super 8 Panel Team AeroDynamix

Where did you mount the EIS display? Can you post details/photo of the HXr tilt bracket?
I am currently wiring up HXr & EiS in RV-8.
