In the HX user manual dated Sept 2015, the last paragraph of 6.1.1 says that selecting Lat A/P to HDG after capture, the "arm(Capt) is set to off. (This is what happens to me in flight.) The first paragraph of 6.1.2 says the opposite, to set GNAV on hdg after ILS capture.
Obviously, I am not understanding this properly. How do I set up the EFIS after ILS capture to perform a missed approach in either HDG or back to the GPS guided missed approach without punching buttons during the missed?
I am able to do this out of an RNAV but not out of the ILS.
Thanks.

Re: Mode after missed approach
The mode can be changed after lateral (localizer) capture. Once the lateral has been captured, the default will be to switch to heading mode on a missed approach, but you can select GNAV after the lateral is captured to change that.
