Is the Mini encoder output compatible with a Garmin GTX 327?

I do not know for a fact, but certainly the Horizon (Hx, HS) encoders are compatible (serial) with the 327 because that is what I have. I'd be very surprised if the mini's encoder software was any different.

Thanks

A quick email to GRT tech support confirmed it. I am just posting it here for others that have questions

>>Yes, Use an open serial port out and configure it for Fuel Air Data Z format, 9600 baud<<

What settings did you use on the GTX 327 to receive the data?

set the 327 input to "FADC w/ ALT", same baud rate (9600). Exactly per the installation manual pg 9-23.
To save a port on the HX, I used a 327 serial output to send this data on to the Garmin 420W.

Long overdue update - I have had my GRT Mini successfully connected to my used Garmin GTX327 for over six months.

Installing the interface was easy and quick. Great combination!
