Mini Shipping Update

Post by katieb »

I thought I'd post an update for Mini production rates. On average, we're shipping 3-5 units per day. Oshkosh will interrupt Mini production and shipping for about a week, since much of our crew will be there to help man the booth.

If you get a message from Jon that your Mini is ready to ship, please get back to him as soon as you can to confirm. If you get a call but aren't ready to receive it yet, that's OK-- let us know and we can shuffle your ship date down a couple weeks and send it to someone else who's waiting.

Thanks & see you at OSH!

Hi Katie...is the Mini AP shipping now? Just got a VM from Jon but in between flights and don't have time to call him back until tomorrow. Is there a manual yet for it?

Thx,
Brian

Hello Brian,

The Mini-AP and the Lithium Ion battery option have started to ship this week. You just happen to be one of the lucky customers who will have them nestled under their Christmas trees. For everyone else, the shipments will be limited due to the holidays. The backlog will be cleared and new orders will start shipping in January. The Mini-AP manual is not finished. We currently don't have an estimate for when it will be done but getting it done is a priority.

A couple of Mini design notes:
1) The ARINC-429 is now an external module connected via serial and will not be built into the Mini unit itself. The original intent was to allow both the battery and the ARINC-429 connection to share the same space. The final battery design ended up pushing out the ARINC-429 option.
2) The lithium ion battery option for the Mini is actually a built into the unit itself. The documentation will need to be updated as there has been some confusion with some thinking that the battery was an external unit.

Happy Holidays,
