Q regarding ADSB Trig transponder.

Post by bcone1381 »

Greetings;

I stopped by GRT in Grand Rapids this morning and then called on my way home with a question about the Trig transponder and ADSB. I learned that a GRT Efis with a Trig transponder is ADSB-out compliant with the GRT Fly Safe GPS.

My follow up Question is, Will that one GPS signal, and one GPS antenna be able run the ADBS-out, and supply a position source for the Efis, even the Sport EX? I see most aircraft having multiple GPS antennas. I like simple.

Yes, the Safe-Fly GPS can be used as a position source for the Trig transponder and a position source for any of our EFIS displays at the same time.

Every EX has a built-in GPS with external antenna but you don't have to use it, or you could put the EX GPS antenna in any place that's easy and use it as a backup.
