I have a LARGE USB Memory stick in my plane.
I save "ALL" DEMO files. (May be a bad practice but I do it.)
Now, when I want to play back a DEMO file from a MOST RECENT flight, I have to scroll through "GOO-GOBS" of files to get there. Literally years worth.
A couple of suggestions/requests.
1. Sort into MOST RECENT order. --OR-- Give me the OPTION for sort order.
2. All for "Current/Active Folder" where things will go for now. I must be able to create it and then 2024 flights would go into "2024 Flights" folder. Then see #1 above.
Any chance of ANY of the spirit of this idea being considered?
Thanks.
"DEMO" files order and structure
Re: "DEMO" files order and structure
Very low down the priority list if anything. We aren't trying to make the EFIS a file manager. Sorting by most recent might be easily doable (for files with dates/times) but it can still take a lot of extra time to read the drive. Old files that you don't need to play back should be moved to a folder or off the drive using a computer.
