Has anyone displayed TIS data from the TT21 or TT22 on the GRT Sport EFIS? Any tricks I should know before I make my wiring harness?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Interfacing with Trig TT21 Transponder
Re: Interfacing with Trig TT21 Transponder
Configure the TT21/TT22 for Garmin TIS output, and configure the EFIS Serial Input for GTX330. The TT21/TT22 has one baud rate selection that covers both GPS and TIS, so you'll have to make sure all the baud rates match up. If you can, configure everything for 9600, the usual TIS rate. The TIS data is only provided where a TIS radar uplink still exists. It will not work in an ADS-B-only area.

Thank you! Good info.
Re: Interfacing with Trig TT21 Transponder
Just up graded my TT21 to TT22. Sport EX controls the transponder.
Where in the menu can I input: Mode S Address, Flight ID, TIS Output, GPS System Int Level, Aircraft L&W, etc?

Re: Interfacing with Trig TT21 Transponder
As Jeff noted, TIS data is available only in limited areas. I'd strongly recommend putting in one of the recommended ADSB-in boxes, well under $1K.
As a side note, the TT-21 is NOT approved for ADSB-out in the US. You need the higher power TT-22 for that.

Re: Interfacing with Trig TT21 Transponder
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics currently offers an upgrade from TT-21 to TT-22 for $950 and includes a new 2 year warranty from Trig.Bobturner wrote:
