Oil Pressure sender ground

"Ground is normally provided by the engine when the sensor is mounted directly to it, but a separate ground wire may be necessary for remote installations", says the EIS manual in paragraph 5.2.4 for installation of the VDO oil pressure sender.

Can I get a little more detail on how the separate ground wire could be added?

Found a solution on the MGL site. I cant figure out how to insert insert an image so here is a link to a picture on the MGL site. I'm not sure what they mean by brazing a terminal on the sender. I did mine by soldering a quick connect tab to the sender case.
