Is there any utility available to playback the DEMO files on a PC the way we would play them back on the DUs in the plane? I've been asked to give a presentation to our local EAA chapter about an engine failure / precautionary landing I had. I wanted to show how the information I was seeing on the EFIS was crucial to detecting the problem early and getting safely on the ground. Was hoping to replay the relevant sections on the projector. I can put the data into an Excel spreadsheet, but it would be cooler to show it unfolding in real-time.

PC Playback of DEMO files?
Re: PC Playback of DEMO files?
No, we don't have a tool for this.

You can use GRT DeCode.
Look on the Misc Software page for DEMO file decoder. Not only is the software there but instructions too.
Savvy analysis will decode engine data.
Both work pretty well to display data graphically and in spreadsheet. Neither will replicate the cockpit display. I’ve not tried the position features of GRT DeCode.
